Revival at Bethlehem UMC, June 20-22, 2014!
Revival at Bethlehem! Join us Friday, June 20 and Sat. June 21 at 7 pm for services, as well as Sunday June 22 at 10 am. Services led by Rev. Kevin Stamps and music leader Eric Coomer. Nursery provided for those under 3. Youth events at 6:30 pm before both evening services and a kick off meal at 5:30 pm on Friday. Everyone welcome at all events!!

July 2013 youth event
VBS was a great success! Thanks to all the workers! Next kids/youth event will be to go see "The Lorax" on July 7 at the RiverPark Center outdoor screen in Owensboro. (Movie begins at dusk). Join us!

Upcoming church & women's group events - fall 2012
Church yard sale: The church will be participating in the Hwy 60 Yard Sale on October 5 &6. Please bring your donated items to the Fellowship Hall in the next week or so. Ladies will begin pricing on Wed. Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. - come if you can. More pricing may be needed at another date. Volunteers to "man" the booth are still needed both days.
Christmas activity: If you are interested in going with the women's group (spouses welcome) to see the Rockettes' Christmas show in Nashville (preferred date is Dec. 8 and back-up date is Nov. 17) please let Donna C. know by the afternoon of Sun. Sept. 23. Price is approx. $34 a person (non refundable) - pay Donna. We will also try to tour the hotel Christmas displays.
We will also be collecting donations for the Mary Kendall Home. A list will be provided later, but jewelry, cosmetics, watches, and Walmart gift cards are welcome items.

Reminders: Bethlehem's services will meet at Yelvington Annual Campmeeting (11 a.m.) for the Sunday, August 12 service. Bethlehem church will meet for service at our Camp Loucon retreat (10 a.m.) on Sunday, August 19. There will be no services at the church those two Sundays - after that services will resume as normal at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Summer 2012 events
We are planning a Vacation Bible School in late July. Stay tuned for more information.
The church retreat at Camp Loucon will be August 18 and 19th. All church members and friends are welcome. Lots of food, fellowsip, and fun!

The women's group is collecting funds to build baskets for the Mary Kendell Home Annual Day auction. See Donna or Joyce to donate.
We have plans for a church retreat this summer at Camp Loucon in July. More details coming soon.

Fall Fest/Halloween party
You are invited to Bethlehem's annual Community Fall Festival / Halloween party. It will be held Sat. Oct. 15 in Bethlehem's Fellowship Hall (evening - beginning around 5:30-6). There will be chili and hot dogs (so you are welcome to bring a dessert or side if you like) for potluck.
Events for kids (and adults) will include a costume contest, fish pond, games, etc.

You are invited to two special services of spiritual renewal, June 22 and 23, 2011, at Bethlehem UMC.
On June 22 the revival will begin with a free special meal at 6 p.m. in the adjacent Fellowship Hall. The revival services will be held both June 22 and June 23 at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Rev. Ted Burke, from Chapel Hill UMC in Henderson, Kentucky. Special music will be provided each evening also.
Everyone is welcome to the meals and the revival services! Please join us!

On Palm Sunday 2011 we will have a potluck breakfast in the Fellowship Hall, beginning at 8:45. All are welcome. During the Palm Sunday, April 17th, service, we will also have a special Easter event for children of all ages - be sure to bring your family to church that day!
The Bethlehem women's group will hold our next meeting on Sun. April 3 in the Fellowship Hall.

The Hanging of the Greens Christmas service will be held on Sun. Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. The church and community are encouraged to attend this moving service of song and worship. Refreshments will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
The Women of Bethlehem are planning to attend T.W.O.'s A Christmas Carol on Sun. Dec. 12. Tickets are $12. Please let Donna C. know by Oct. 28 if you'd like to attend. We will meet to eat before the play - location TBA.
